The North West Family Business Awards 2025 are delighted to announce Greg Morris, Director at Western Pension Solutions (WPS), as one of the judges for this year’s awards. With a wealth of experience in financial services and financial risk management, Greg brings invaluable insight to the judging panel.
Greg leads WPS’ Midlands region, bringing over 25 years of consulting expertise with KPMG, Deloitte and more latterly at Isio. He has a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities faced by family businesses when designing and implementing pension strategies and he helps them align these strategies with their long-term financial and succession planning goals. Greg says:
“I am delighted to be part of the judging panel. These awards celebrate the resilience and innovation of businesses, and I am excited to recognise outstanding contributions across industries. Family businesses, in particular, play a vital role in our economy, and it is an honour to support initiatives that highlight their achievements.”
Greg will join the other judges on Monday 10th March at Siemens Headquarters in Manchester to decide on the finalists. Following this judge’s visits will take place where all the finalists will get the chance to demonstrate why their family business is a worthy winner.
Entries for the awards close on Monday 3rd March, so there is still time for businesses to enter the awards. Entries are made online via the website https://www.northwestfamilybusinessawards.co.uk/
The awards ceremony will be held on Friday 9th May 2025, at the iconic Titanic Hotel in Liverpool and promises to be an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating the remarkable contributions of family businesses in the North West.
The theme for this year’s awards has just been announced which is ‘Origin’ – the foundation of every story—the point where it all began. For family businesses, it’s more than a starting point; it’s a legacy built on values, vision, and resilience, passed down through generations. Every origin tells a story of perseverance, adaptation, and lasting impact.
What makes the North West Family Business Awards unique is its dedication to creativity and local talent. The awards feature bespoke trophies crafted by regional artists, designers, and makers, while performances from local talent add a special flair to the evening.
Co-hosting the awards with Family Business Community founders Sue Howorth and Dave Clarkson, will be renowned food and drink broadcaster and writer, Nigel Barden who works on the Simon Mayo Drivetime Show on Greatest Hits Radio and specialises in promoting British ingredients and artisan producers, particularly in his role as chairman of judges for The Great Taste Awards and as a host at Tom Kerridge’s “Pub in the Park” festivals.
