Leading Local Charitable Foundation returns to sponsor the Social Impact awards at the North West Family Business Awards 2023

Following the success of last year’s event, returning as both a judge and sponsor, the North West Family Business Awards 2023 will once again be supported by the Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside.

This event is becoming one of the most popular dates on the Business Awards calendar and will take place on Friday 19th of May 2023 at the Concorde Conference Centre, Manchester.

The Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside is a professional and ambitious organisation with effective charitable giving and community at its heart.

It provides an opportunity for businesses to be part of a commitment to make an impactful, sustainable and positive difference to those most in need, through the expert guidance and support of the Community Foundation team, who take care of every aspect of the charitable undertaking for their clients who are either individuals, business owners or part of the public sector.

Explaining why they have decided to support the NWFBAs for a second year (by offering their services as a judge and a sponsor of the Social Impact Award), Development Director of the Community Foundations, Karen Morris said:

“We are delighted to be supporting the NWFBAs again as our goal is to support everyone in our communities, by lifting them up and providing funding and support, to improve their environment, opportunities and wellbeing. Trust, encouragement and building meaningful relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and this aligns perfectly with what Sue and Dave have achieved with these fantastic awards.

We’re all about shining a light on good work, helping each other and overcoming hurdles and this is what family businesses are achieving right across the North West. We want to say thank you and well done to them all!”

Co-founders of the Family Business Community, Dave Clarkson & Sue Howorth said:

“We’re thrilled to have Karen Morris joining us again this year – the Community Foundations for Lancashire & Merseyside make philanthropy and charitable endeavors accessible to all people and organisations and it is the perfect fit with our family businesses. It’s also a great way for them to share their expertise with like-minded people across the North West and raise awareness about what they do.”

Applicants have until the 24th February to submit their entries, and you can also nominate a family business that you know. The Awards finalists will be revealed on Tuesday 7th March 2023.
